GPF Productions is a production company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex that specializes in the hire of AV equipment and technicians for a wide variety of events. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quotation, ideally we need the event location, time and date for the start of the hire and also for the end of the hire.
We also prefer to know whether the event is indoors or outdoors so we can plan accordingly.
With most of the main information out of the way, we can focus on making your event one to remember!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the supplier for some recommendations of equipment and also ask why they're recommending that specific equipment.
You don't want to always go for the 'cheaper' option as more professional suppliers will recommend equipment that is suitable and specific for your event. A lot of thought goes into what equipment you need! Venue size, number of guests, Is it indoors or outdoors etc these can all affect what equipment is best for you.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
GPF Productions was started to help people access professional/reliable equipment and technicians and a reasonable cost.
Before GPF Productions was started, I either struggled to source equipment for events or it was way too expensive. This is the initiative that pushed me to start GPF Productions.
Everyone that works as part of GPF Productions, has a love for events no matter the size. So you always know genuine people that care about your event are helping make it a reality!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had a lot of bookings through Add to Event and not one has been the same!
Every single booking has been great but if we were to choose our favourite; It would be an Outdoor Cinema Package in Crawley.
The client was quick to respond, very informative and even took photos for us so we could plan where to set up ahead of the event date!
We got there, set up and tested the equipment and the client loved it. We went back the next day to pack down and we were happy to hear that her guests from all age groups loved it! They even took a few photos during the event for us to use on social media!
