What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote the information I require is, where is the event located, what date and or dates would you like to hire from, what time are you starting and finishing, what age range would the hire be for, if you had any specific castle in mind and then some contact details. From this I will be able to see what I have available from the date required, along side recommend a suitable castle or slide. I will also need to know if there is no power source available as I do hire out generators if required.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Advice I would give to a customer is do a little research. Have a look into reviews to see other peoples experiences, although remember a bad review can sometimes just be from someone having a bad day, so don't let that one review change your mind, look at the over all reviews. Although cost can be important, cheapest is not always best as service is most important in my eyes. A company who pays well will have very happy staff who give great service so sometimes it's worth paying the bit more for everyone to have a good day.
It can always be great to ask if we have any recommendations for the right product, sometimes you can hire something from the picture online and it arrives and it's smaller or bigger than you thought, so best thing is to always talk with us about what you're looking for to get the best product for your needs.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
So Kevin Donald Bouncy Castles was started by my Dad, Kevin Donald and has been running for over 28 years now. I started working with him properly maybe 4 years ago (although did come along for years as I was young to earn my pocket money) and it's the best job I've ever had. Due to it being events based all my customers are in such a great mood as it's their kids special day so the work environment is very positive and fun to work in. It is also a social job being people facing so you get to meet and talk to your customers which is ideal for me being a chatty person.
Due to the nature of the job mostly being on weekends it allows also for other work at the same time so Kevin bought a newsagents which took off and thus gave way to me taking over the business and I've not looked back.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There has been many bookings though this platform which has been great as it is all customers which I would not have had to start with as it's all non direct to my website traffic so new customers to me which has been ideal in growing my business.
One special customer I had was for a wedding where the couple had an amazing time and told me at one point on my bouncy castle they had the bride, groom and the priest on bouncing away. I continue to use the platform as I work and am very grateful for this.
