What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote, we ideally need the event date, a brief description and type of event they are hosting along with the estimated number of guests and approximate value they are wishing to pay. Whether the event is indoors or outdoors and if it is corporate or private. Once we have this information we can put together a bespoke proposal.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The customer should have an understanding of the service they are wishing us to provide. Be specific to the details of the event. Check reviews and online comments about a provider and ask lots of questions.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Saltire started as a small family business due to the director's love of the hospitality sector. His passion for the industry drove him to creating the company we have today. His company values are key to ensuring we offer a professional and friendly service. His ethos is, not to the biggest catering company but the best.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We were exceptionally lucky to host an extremely important birthday celebration for a company just outside Glasgow. The brief was to cater for 400 people from all walks of life and from all over the world. All we had was a marquee in their grounds to provide a first-class, five-star dinner. On the night the executives of the company were able to choose their own dinner, which we easily accommodated. It was a great success.
