What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For a comprehensive quote we ideally want as much info as possible - how many days you'd like us, hours of service, whether we need to be set up by a certain time, how many people or how many cups you'd like us to do, whether it's inside or out and if want just hot drinks or anything to go with it. Event location is important, too. If you'd like any branding such as branded cups or branding on our units - that can also be supplied as part of your quote. With this information we can provide you with a detailed, specific quote and ensure you get everything you require for your event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ideally you want someone who knows the industry, who can answer the questions you have and also help suggest things you may not have thought of to help make your event become a success. The company should be able to take most of the stressful organising away from you as it's their business. Also, be wary of providers who offer unrealistic goals, a coffee machine no matter how many groups can only produce a certain amount of hot drinks per hour otherwise the quality of the drink is compromised!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I'd always wanted to run my own business and saw a growing trend for specialty coffee. My wife loves coffee and I love tea so we both had a good base knowledge. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist when t comes to pretty much anything and believe if you are going to do something you need to do it right and be the best. We've come a long way from our beginning and are now one of the leading mobile coffee companies in London with a wealth of experience and solid reputation.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We've had a few bookings through Add to Event now. A couple of weddings hiring our coffee bar and piaggio as well as a couple of corporate events where the clients wanted some branding. We get a fair few leads from the site so continue to use the service as I find it beats many of its competitors in this sector.
I have recommended the platform to some colleagues who gave started up their own businesses and they have also found it beneficial too.
