What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quotation for our customers specific needs, ideally we would need an event date, event location, the number of guests to be catered for, length of service and a brief explanation of the type of event being hosted. From this we are able to put together a comprehensive quote of what we are able to offer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, I would ask the supplier what type of events they have catered for previously. I would want to know as much as possible about their product and menu offerings. I would also want some advice from them on similar events they have been involved in, as first hand experience is vital.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my coffee adventure in May of 2012, after deciding on a change of direction in my work life, having worked in the customer service dept. of a packaging machinery company for 24 years. I spent a lot of time thinking about something I could start up with minimal cost and risk, that I could completely make my own. I decided for both of those reasons that a franchise wasn't for me, as you were then both living someone else's vision and in turn paying them the rewards of your hard work. Saying that, my business has evolved over the years, rather than having a master plan to start with. But going into the coffee events world has been the best thing ever, I still have the odd disasters and continually make mistakes, but I continue to love my job and the coffee adventures I find myself in.
We get great feedback from customers tasting our coffee and cakes, along with event organisers that we have been involved in.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am continually getting enquiries through the Add to Event website, for a wide and varied type of events. There have been a large number of bookings that we have received from the website, from smaller personal bookings to larger corporate ones. The site is always being improved to enhance the experience for both us as traders and for the customer - it can only grow bigger!
