What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide an accurate quote we need to know the venue postcode, date and minimum number of guests to feed. Once the client has given us a brief remit on the type of event it is, and their ideas for the food, we can tailor a menu to suit.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Book on recommendation, and do not always go for the cheapest! Also, look at the company's online presence - are they using real photos of their own food and work? Or just stock images? Are they active on social media? Are they showing their reviews? It makes sense to book a busy, thriving company.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Two Counties Hog Roast is a family run business that has been going for 15 years. We have a food technology background and wanted to have our own business! We love offering our lovely clients a theatrical presentation of food! Being able to be consistent with our product has been vital to our continued success and popularity.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We've had several bookings through Add to Event - it seems to be a user-friendly site for potential clients to get several quotes back, without spending hours trawling the internet. We had a fun corporate job at the seaside over Christmas where we fed 450 staff with hog roasts and giant paella. That went very well, and we will get repeat bookings from that client.
