DG Midland Hog Roast provides hog roasts via their fully mobile catering service throughout the West Midlands. Though expert roasters usually handle everything for you, the equipment can be hired out to events alone so that the organiser can do it themselves if they fancy, too! DG Midland Hog Roast can provide varying sizes of hog to suit any size or type of event imaginable.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order for us to provide a quote we need the exact date of the event, full address of the venue, approximate serving time, a rough idea of how many guests and if any side dishes will be required. We would also need to know if there is sufficient lighting and cover at the venue.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask them to make sure that they hold valid Food and Hygiene Certificates, Public Liability Insurance and if their Hog Roast Oven has been gas checked and certified. Always check that the provider provides serving tables and gazebo.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started to help a friend already in the Hog Roast business and really enjoyed attending the different events, weddings, birthday parties etc. I decided to start my own business a while later and have not regretted it. I thrive on providing a great service with a smile and quality food the guests love and compliment us for.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We catered for a wedding at the Rugby Club in Tamworth. We provided a huge hog for 200 guests. We have never received so many compliments from the guests on how tasty the food was, the crackling being exceptional! The staff at the club including the bride and groom's family could not do enough to make us feel welcome, offering us cakes, sweets and drinks. So glad I got this booking from Add to Event. We then got a fab 5 star review from the happy couple, too!!
