What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote for a customer, I ideally would need to know the event you are planning, a rough estimate of how many guests you have attending, and of course the time, date, and location of said event. With all this information I will be able to give you a quote for having myself perform for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Many people have never booked a magician before so do not know what they should be looking for. It can be tricky knowing what you are going to get, but actually speaking to them you may get an idea of what they perform and how they go about it. It is a competitive area among magicians with many suggesting that those who charge a lot less than others must be amateurs and not as skilled. I feel that this may not always be true. Some people may be amazing performers but may not need or want to charge large amounts. Though if you want to hire someone of known status, be prepared to pay a premium.
Video and photos are good indicators of how the are with guests as well as testimonials from the clients.
PLI is one aspect that many ignore, though for your peace of mind being insured helps if there is an accident!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Adrian Salamon Magic was, like many magicians before him, born out of a hobby that grew into a passion than a career. I first started learning magic when I just left university. I was a bit bored one day, though I had a pack of card in the house as many do. A trip to the bookshop and a cheap beginner book on card tricks led to where I am this day. My passion is now sharing this gift and providing amazing entertainment for your events. The joy on peoples faces and those screams of "no way!" make it all worthwhile

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I haven't been a member that long but the booking are starting to roll in now. I am looking forward to the upcoming weekends where I have multiple wedding magic gigs. Add to Event lets me message and speak to the clients after they have expressed their interest which makes it great to tailor my magic to that event. The clients are happy with what I will provide and how I can make their day that extra special. I hope to get many more opportunities through this site to share my love for magic and performing
