What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To enable us to give the best quote, I would ideally need to know the event date and the type of event being hosted, the location of the event and the amount of guests attending will also help me put together an accurate price.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly it is very important to ensure they are the type of photographer you are looking for, for example you wouldn't hire a landscape photographer to do a wedding etc. Ask to see any previous work, and if they've photographed at your venue ask to see any work from there. Research different options, and get to know the photographers you are keen on. It is best to work with someone who you get along well with and feel at ease.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Laura Jane Photography has recently changed from LJB Photography which has been running for the last four years. My passion started after leaving school and attending Essex University where I did my photography degree; not knowing whether it would grow into a business at the time, I was still trying to find myself. During my final year at uni I started my business and haven't looked back since. My work focuses on capturing my clients' events as they want, and creating a set of stunning images for them to treasure.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had a fair few enquiries and bookings through Add to Event, which have helped make my business flourish and grow. Word of mouth is also a great helper, so after gaining these bookings there is always another in the pipe line after recommendations have been offered by these clients.
