What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, the timings and the exact location. We would then need to know if the event was outdoor or indoor and how many guests they are hoping to have, even if an estimate, to begin with. From this we can send over a quote for the food and any extra equipment they may need.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you want to find a great provider of any kind of food, I would have a look online, making sure you hunt down reviews from previous clients. Facebook is often where client reviews are for smaller businesses, or on the provider's website page. Ask the provider for a bit of background, if it's not clear from their website, and even why they love doing what they do. Ask them what other sorts of events they have done in the past, and if they would be happy to give recommendations from previous clients.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Well Kneaded began back in 2011 when Bridget, the founder, decided that she wanted to combine her love of sourdough pizza with her passion for seeing young local people, with unequal opportunities to work, in work. Well Kneaded was, literally, a vehicle to provide excellent food to London and nearby cities and also employment to local young people. We love seeing our young people come alive as they go to interesting places, and serve excellent pizzas with excellent sourcing policies. We also love seeing happy and satisfied clients, it's a winning combo!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are just beginning to engage in Add to Event in a new way as so many enquiries have come through our inbox recently. It seems like Add to Event provide great exposure for both those hosting events, and suppliers. Another great combination!
