Barney & The Pizza provide artisan wood-fired pizza with local ingredients sourced within Kent wherever possible and are made and served out of one of their lovingly restored units. They love doing a variety of events, from big to small, weddings to festivals. Read on for more about their story plus the advice to taste before you hire!
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to give an accurate quote, we need the event date, venue address, service time and the number of guests. This will give us a guideline and then an indication of the event type and your aim for the event will allow us to help recommend what is most suitable for the event so that its the best it can possibly be.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research and shop around like you would with a car. We all offer our own take on what we do so quality and local ingredients are more important to some business compared to others and I would definitely recommend doing a tasting as it's too late once you try them for the first time and they aren't what you were expecting at your event!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Barney & The Pizza started from the local pub garden and the pizza oven! What started at curiosity ended up in a passion for making the very best pizzas whilst having a unique edge of having beautiful vintage units. Our aim was to make everyone's event that much better, we don't like to leave anything out; we use local ingredients wherever possible and if they are not local then they have been imported from Italy to add that delicious taste!
