What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For Knightguard to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and location of the venue, as well as whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we will be able to provide an accurate quotation.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, we would look at the numbers of people attending the venue, this will then give us a number to start with (for example 1 officer = 80 people). Look at the type of venue, inside or outside and work with the customer to give the best solution available. Make sure to look for a company that operates like this - with you at its heart.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Knightguard Ltd commenced in 1997 and is a family run business with all the family involved. Knightguard is very passionate about providing a great service and giving people what they expect on the day. With helping provide a secure environment for our customers they will be are able to enjoy the event.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Knightguard have provided various Add to Event customers with a range of different security services, for example last weekend we provided Door Supervisors for a lady's 40th Birthday. The reviews were amazing, and the feedback was very positive with additional work coming from others who attended the event. The client and his guests were very happy and have already booked for an event at Christmas. I have recommended Add to Event to other people looking for catering, marquees and other services. I will continue to promote and work in partnership with Add to Event.
