What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, potential venue and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the caterer about the product they are offering. Then, ask them about their menu and why they are serving what they are serving. We would normally like to know that they also had all of the correct licences, such as a local authority pass certificate, food hygiene certificate, gas safety certificates, public liability and also EICR.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Delilicious Catering provides quality catering, mobile bars and food vans all over Scotland and have been in business for more than 10 year. We have catered for many different events, from small intimate events to large corporate functions. We like to give back to the community, so everyone in our staff is given 2 days annual leave to work for a charity. We have so far helped to raise over £50,000, in the last 11 years.
