The Village Deli

Established in 2010 The Village Deli was a small foodie haven in the village of Spaldwick, where award winning chef Darrell Haylett was busy preparing deli items for the counter. On one especially busy lunch while cooking he chowed down a scotch egg and the idea for the hot scotch egg was born. Since then many eggs have been peeled and many amazing festivals have been attended.

Sourcing locally and responsibly is very important to us, and a lot of thought goes into sustainable food and packaging. Only using fairtrade, organic and free range.
