What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
When working with event organisers, I need a few key pieces of information in order to provide a comprehensive quote. Firstly, I need to know the number of guests and the venue in order to determine the amount of equipment I'll need to bring. This helps me ensure that I have everything I need to create a fantastic party atmosphere. Secondly, I need to know the purpose of the event, as this helps me understand how much preparation I'll need to do and what kind of music and entertainment will be most suitable. Finally, I need to know how long I'm needed to DJ or be on site so I can accurately estimate my time and make sure I'm available on the date and at the time you need me. With this information, I can provide a quote that's tailored to your specific event and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If your looking to hire a mobile DJ for your event my top tips are firstly to look for experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality entertainment at events. Experience will ensure your provider is equipped to handle any challenges that may arise and create an unforgettable atmosphere for your guests. However many companies do sub-contract work to less experienced DJs so double-check that when you book.
Secondly would be to check equipment: Make sure the provider has state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, as this is essential for creating a fantastic party atmosphere. You can also ask to see photos or videos of their setup and check out their socials to get a better idea of what they have to offer.
Lastly make sure that you're able to have open and honest conversations with your DJ, so you can ensure that your event runs smoothly and to your expectations.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my mobile disco business because I have a passion for music and love being part of magic moments where people have the best and most memorable time. I've always enjoyed creating a fun atmosphere and seeing people let loose and enjoy themselves on the dance floor. I feel very fortunate that I have been able to create a business that allows me to do what I love every day.
I've been learning to provide the highest quality entertainment and helping people make memories that will last a lifetime for over 15 years and have created so many good memories of my own in the process. Whether it's a wedding, corporate event, or birthday party, I'm always striving to play the best music and create an unforgettable experience for my clients and their guests.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have just started my own page on Add to Event in January this year having heard good things from colleagues and used the referral to get started with my first credits. Within a week I had my first booking at a local Bar. This was a very cool venue and from the moment I started playing I could see that the crowd were responding and grooving to the beats. The bar owner was very friendly and provided first-class hospitality. I was in my element.
The job has turned into a regular booking now and I hope to build a loyal customer base. I've always believed in putting my all into each and every performance, and I think that's what sets me apart from the competition. I love what I do, and I want to make sure that every customer leaves with a smile on their face, eager to come back and party again.
