What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to provide a firm quote there are some basic bits of information that we require. These are: date of event, location/venue, type of event (Wedding, Birthday, Corporate, etc..), number of guests if the event is inside or outside and on the ground floor or not. Once we have this information we are able to determine an accurate cost to provide a high-quality service.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The DJ is a key part of any event, so you need to make sure that they understand your needs and can fulfill these. We would advise you to have a conversation and ask them any questions you may have to make sure they are the right fit for what you are looking for. Never be afraid to ask what experience they have and provide examples of work they have done in the past for similar events.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Clarity in 2018 following 5 years of being out of the disco and DJing scene to start a family. Music and DJing have been a passion of mine since I was a young teenager and previously I did discos for several years. My focus is to provide an exceptional level of service to all our clients and to make sure that their event is a memorable one. Customer satisfaction is my number one priority.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had several bookings through the Add to Event platform and some have led to repeat bookings form the same clients. One of the more memorable events would be a 30th birthday party I did which had a peaky blinders theme. This was something new for me, but it was a great experience to play a different style of music alongside all the classic party music. Everyone had a great time and they were all up dancing the charleston. The feedback was really positive, which is what makes it all worthwhile, knowing that people had a great time.
