What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to give an extensive quote, we would require the date, time and venue of the event, ideally the number of expected guests and if there is a theme. Also, a brief explanation of whether it's an indoor or outdoor event to enable us to bring the required equipment.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, I'd suggest looking at some of face painter's previous work and would like to know how many children/adults they can paint each hour. By giving the amount of expected faces painted, lets you know how long you would need to book the artist for, or how many artists are needed (for larger events). Check they have the right insurance and what experience they have, and enquire as to their health and safety practises.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Being a mum of six children, I first started when I had four children under 5 years old (twins!). This made it expensive for me to have their faces painted, so I started to learn how to do it myself. I LOVE children, I work with children and young adults and also have my Level 6 in British Sign Language and certificates in Understanding Autism, so I can give a more inclusive experience to anyone who likes to have their face painted.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have attended a few parties through the Add To Event booking scheme. I have a few friends who use the platform for advertising and securing jobs, and we are all very happy to continue using it. With it's ease of use, uploading and editing, to replying and securing jobs, it's good value for money.
