Kiss My Curry was born out of a passion for spices and exotic flavours inspired by the Indian Subcontinent and aims to provide the very best catering and events services for both UK and overseas clients. Read about their story and advice on how to get the best caterers for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Organisers need to provide us with details of their event including the number of guests and the format of the event. We will then request cuisine preferences, dietary requirements including any allergen info. An idea of the venue and it's facilities allows us to better plan equipment and logistics needs. These will allow us to create a bespoke solution for potential clients.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Potential customers should always do their due diligence on suppliers. Anyone can provide you with a price however you may not be confident in their service offering. A reference request will be ideal for some more insight into the supplier as well finding out if they have their paperwork in order; public liability insurance, food hygiene certification and any other documentation for peace of mind.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are passionate about our cuisine and have many years of experience working our way through humble kitchens all the way to high profile establishments. We have been fortunate enough to work with chefs at Michelin Star level and also had the opportunity to travel to experience and work in the most amazing places. We decided to showcase our own skills with a rich family recipe repertoire and take it to the public and Kiss My Curry was soon born.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We recently had a booking with a Greater London client seeking services for a wedding ceremony in a marquee setting requiring canapes and a buffet. We had set up a temporary kitchen and brought in our trained staff for the front of house services, kitchen operations and logistics.
The client was given a bespoke food tasting session, a site visit, a tailor-made package was then put together.
The event was successful and we received great feedback.
It would not have been possible without a platform like Add to Event which has certainly been the missing link between suppliers and organisers. Thank you!
