What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In an ideal world we need a few simple answers to provide an accurate quote for your event:-
a) Where and when is the event (postcode)
b) Do you require us to staff, stock and run the bar or is it simply 'dry hire' you require (our bar and staff but your drinks)?
c) What time would the bar service open and close.
d) How many guests do you have coming to the event?
e) Are logistics simple at the venue or would set up be up/down stairs etc?
f) Is there a loading bay or safe parking to set up/breakdown?
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a provider of services for your event always check the following (our suggestions only):-
a) Try and meet the suppliers at their offices/place of work - just so you know who you are dealing with.
b) Do some research on the company, are they registered, do they have the correct licenses etc?
c) Be sure that they have appropriate till systems in place (if you are paying for the drinks etc).
d) Ensure that the drinks being served are from approved Uk suppliers with real brand names.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Our business started as a small idea which has now evolved into a full-time company employing a team of staff (made up of office staff, accounts and bar staff etc). The company was formed to take the drinks sector at events to the next level, when we started people would serve drinks at events from a trestle table, now 90% of events throughout the UK have a proper bar counter of some sort. We believe that we want people to remember events for the right reasons!
