Using only the best local produce in the ingredients as well as a select few bits directly from Tuscany, The Focaccia Co aim to bring this traditional Italian sandwich to popularity in the United Kingdom due to its great taste and authentic flavour. Able to fit into any event from a market to a wedding, The Focaccia Co's unique mobile kitchen can fill empty bellies wherever they are found.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote to a customer, we ideally need to know the date & venue of the event, number of guests expected, and a little about the type of event they are hosting. We can then look at devising a suitable offering, and putting together the quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would recommend finding a little about their background, and why they have decided to set a venture up with their particular product. It is also important to look at their menu offerings, and flexibility with this. It is also an idea to find out if they have permanent spots/pitches with their mobile catering service, so you can go along and view the set up and how they work.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Focaccia Co was born after a short trip to Florence, Italy, where we tried & fell in love with this kind of sandwich. It was the most delicious we had tried, very simple in form and with the quality of the produce taking centre stage. On returning to England, we couldn't find one anywhere in the South where we live. As both our professional careers have been in catering & hospitality management, we decided to use our skills and experience - The Focaccia Co was born!
