What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to be able to provide you with a quote, ideally I would need the following information; The date required so I can check my availability for you, the venue name so I can work out travel times, the type of event and whether it is for adults, teens or younger children and the music start and finish times that you require. Once I have this information, I can provide you with a basic quote for myself to host your party. I also offer a host of optional extras which we can talk about once I have the relevant information, so I can tailor them to your specific event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Choose your DJ wisely. Use someone with plenty of experience for your particular type of event. Check to see if your DJ is covered by his own personal public liability insurance policy. Check to see that all of the electrical equipment has been certified safe to use (this is called a PAT test). Do some research on the DJ and have a look at the reviews left by previous clients.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started to learn how to DJ back in the year 2000 in the pubs and clubs around the Swansea area. My main day job has always been in a customer services role. One day, I got asked to perform at a wedding for someone and my business started from this point. My passion has always been to provide the best customer service that I could and I pride myself in combining the two. I left my day job in 2015 and I am now a full time DJ. I can cater for any occasion but I specialise in weddings and teen UV parties.
