From any request I would require the following information:
Venue with address,
Start time,
Length of function,
Type of event,
Genres of music required.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost I would ask the customer to provide full information on what they are looking for at their event. I would ask them for locations and start times, when availability to set up is, and more details on how the event would be run.
Also whether any announcements need to be made and whether there are any specific details that I would need to know.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started DJ-ing in 2001 and played in many clubs and venues in the West Midlands for 10 years. In 2011 I made the decision to step away from the club scene and go into business, because I wanted to give that personalised service that you cannot do in the pub and club scene.
My focus is always on the customer and the smaller details which make my business worthwhile.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
