What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We don't need a great deal of information in order to provide a quote - literally just telling us the date is enough because the single most important thing we need to know is if we are going to be able to take the booking on!
Our service is the same regardless of the kind of event is, so for example, a wedding reception or a corporate event, the price is the same. The location or size of your event won’t change our quote, our ethos is to provide clear and honest prices with no hidden extras and so that’s what we offer!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing to consider is what they want from a photo booth – a box that only a few people can fit inside? A fixed machine that doesn’t know if you are a tall adult or a small child? Or do they want to offer their guests entertainment and along with great photos!
Another thing to consider is how many photos are provided, do three friends really want to have to share two prints? We offer a genuine “unlimited visits with unlimited prints” service so there won’t be any disappointed partygoers. Also, we provide the organiser (be it bride & groom, birthday boy/girl or corporate client) with a USB of all the images as high-resolution digital images that they are free to share or print as they wish
One other piece of advice would be to think about where you are going to position your photo booth at the event. No one wants to have to leave the party to go for their photos, but equally, they probably won’t want to be stood beside the discos speakers either!!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We have been event photographers for more years than we care to remember and have covered 1000’s of events in our time, and offering a photo booth was a natural extension of our existing photography services
The overwhelming majority of our photo booth bookings are for Friday and Saturday evenings and this fits in really well with everything else we do
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are relatively new to using Add to Event but have found it a great way to market ourselves as the clients they bring us know what they want which makes our life easy. We get a lead, contact the prospective client and more often than not, they book! Simples!!
A typical example of the sort of client we get via Add to Event was at a recent wedding reception with about 120 guests. The couple had asked that we try and get a photo of everyone at some point for a Guest Book, and no sooner had we printed the first photos and got the response “wow, these are fantastic!” that the other guests wanted their photos taken and we had a constant queue all night. Not only did we get all the photos, but we also got another four bookings for other events before we left – all on the back of one booking via Add to Event
So would we recommend you to others in the event industry? Hell, yeah!!
