What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer I would ideally need:
- the event date
- a short explanation of what the event is e.g. birthday party, bar/batmitzvah, religious ceremony
- I will need to know how many hours I am needed for. (This affects pricing for most events, although I provide fixed prices for bar/batmizvahs)
- the location
After I have received this information then I will happily give you an accurate quote!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest having a zoom call so you can see each other.
In this virtual world, it is nice to be able to put a face to a name, especially in photography, having a good relationship client-customer relationship is very important to both parties feeling relaxed when the event takes place.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my photography business because I love how taking photos gives you happy memories that live on forever. I will always do my best to achieve a fun and relaxed atmosphere to bring out the personalities of the individuals and groups I am working with.
I understand that having a lens in your face isn't the most natural thing in the world, so expecting people to act natural when posing or simply knowing it's there at an event can sound slightly absurd. This is why I make work client-focused so we can work together to achieve the perfect result!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have recently made a booking for a bat mitzvah in the summer and it went so smoothly!
We organised a zoom call to meet virtually (this also included the client's event planner) we had a few follow-up phone calls to clarify some details and now it's confirmed.
I am looking forward to photographing them this summer.
