What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an accurate quote, I need to know the date, time, venue and location of the event. I also need to know the type of food required and the type of the event taking place. The number of covers and required number of staff are also very helpful.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask about the cost and exactly what is included in the price in order to ensure you get the best deal. Ask about the style of food and what service is made available, as well as the deposit and when the balance is due to be paid. Another thing to check is how local the provider is.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I worked in the industry since leaving college. Refectory catering services was born from friends and family asking my wife and I to cater events for them and from us receiving very positive feedback. We are a family business and love the challenge of catering for a variety of events.
