What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to be able to provide a comprehensive quote, I need to know what service the customer wants, ie face painting, glitter tattoos, balloons.
Also how many children will attend, how long they require me to stay for and the date and the location.
All of this information will allow me to give a precise calculated quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

To hire a provider in my area of work, I would like to see examples of their work, pictures of faces they have painted. I would also like to see some reviews from previous customers.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business because I love doing face painting and body art. I initially used to do it for free at my children's school and charity events and for family and friends. One day a friend said I should be getting paid for this! So I went online and Googled face painting jobs and Add to Event came up! I joined up, purchased credits and started bidding for jobs. I got my first paid job through Add to Event!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I had a booking at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. It was for a University Gala. It was a beautiful venue and an unusual booking as it was all young uni leavers. I was with a colleague and we had a lot of fun painting everyone with different designs around the eyes and cheeks. We were also able to sample the delicious food! I always feel like I'm being paid to enjoy myself as this job is my hobby, which is incredible. I also always feel so privileged to be a part of someone's happy event and to have been able to participate in making it special!
