What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We require ideally. Location of the event preferably a postcode, number of guests, serving time (time of day not length of time), approximate budget. An idea of menu requirements and the date.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Avoid one-man bands. We are in an industry which is flooded with cowboys and unfortunately, they let people down especially last minute, don't have the appropriate environmental health documentation etc. The best way to tell is by picking a company that is vat registered and has an active social media presence and lots of reviews.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We set up 10 years ago with an aim to become a leading player in catering throughout the north of England. It was set up with difficulty working from home on a limited budget and required working vast weeks which I could never have done if I had a family at that time but got through it and now we have 30 full-time employees and do over 2000 events per annum.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
