What is documentary photography? Well, for me, it's about using the light, the surroundings and the people to describe what's happening using images. It's definitely not just a boring series of pictures to document who was there - it's an approach which requires foresight and experience to tell lots of little stories which eventually add up to describe the one big story of the event. It works especially well with weddings but applies equally to any occasion.

It's important for the photographer to blend in - there's no need for them to dress in black and scuttle around like a deranged Ninja but you know you're getting it right when people think you're one of the guests. It's candid photography taken to the next level. Once you're completely familiar with the technical side of things, to the point where it's second nature, you can concentrate solely on being in the right place at the right time (this is where the experience and foresight come in!).

The resulting images are processed and worked on individually to ensure they're as good as they possibly can be and the whole process from booking to image delivery is streamlined, efficient and delivered in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
