Here is a little bit about us.. we are a brother and sister team. Young entrepreneurs.

After our grandmothers passing in February 2020 we knew we wanted to begin something in her memory, something she would have loved herself and something that meant a great deal to us.

From a very young age Yasmine, 20, one of the founders of Mary’s Tearoom had a real passion for coffee and loose leaf tea.

Nanny Mary loved all things natural and ethical. Yasmine along with her mother, Mary’s daughter began ‘The Tea Bees’ a loose leaf tea company based in Staffordshire, our main focus is ethical, 100% natural great tasting tea. We began working with experienced tea masters based in the UK to blend our unique and beneficial flavour’s to which our customers loved.

We decided we needed somewhere to sell and blend our teas, somewhere personable, local and with a community feel. After visiting Bishton Hall when it was St Bede’s school to play sports against them when Yasmine and her younger brother Harvey were young, it was a familiar place.. so it only seemed fitting to open a Tearoom and name it after our Grandmother ‘Mary’.

Before opening Mary’s tearoom, Yasmine had 3 years of Barista training learning the art of making an amazing cup of coffee that is made with love.

So Mary’s Tearoom opened in May 2022 and it has been a phenomenal successful start.
In September 2022 we decided to expand the business and purchase a converted horse trailer so that we could take ‘Mini Mary’s’ on the road.
