About Goujon Monkey

With menus to suit all tastes, your guests will be wowed by our famous 'Goujons', Beer Battered Fish and Chips or Gourmet Burgers and Hot Dogs; all hand prepared using quality, fresh ingredients and cooked to order from one of our eye-catching catering trucks or stalls.

Choose from our iconic vintage Citroen Food Truck, high-spec Catering Van or modern Catering Stall, to best suit your requirements. We can pitch up just about anywhere and add a fantastic visual attraction and delicious food to your event.

Our Story

Goujon Monkey was created firstly from a desire to do something completely different to the office jobs we were working back in 2014 but also from a passion for great customer service and amazing tasting, fresh, hand prepared, yet simple food. The majority of our events are large gatherings such as weddings and corporate events and it's great to be part of these special events and add our unique element to the day with our attractive vans and tasty food.

Our Team

We are primarily a family run business with Matt heavily involved in running the business both behind the scenes liaising with clients and working events in the busy summer months. Matt's brother Chris can be found running a lot of our events and is known for making the largest, most demanding events run like clockwork. Matt's eldest children Mahlia and Rudy as well as other family members have also started helping out.

In addition we employ a number of part time staff through the year, sometimes university students on their summer break. Special mention to the triplets - Hamid, Amin and Karim - who have been a great asset to the business over the last 4 years now.

Experience

The business has grown immensely over the last 10+ years from humble beginnings serving the students and tourists in Oxford City Centre to catering at some huge private events for major companies, Universities and Colleges as well as some special private events with VIP guests. We have a can do approach and no matter how big or challenging the logistics we will always find a way to meet the needs of our clients and make the catering a success.

Typical Clients

We are experienced Corporate Event, Wedding and Party caterers. Some of our famous clients include mega brands such as Warner Bros, Facebook, Amazon, Mercedes Benz, Williams F1, Moet Hennessey and Oxford University, plus well known TV shows The Grand Tour and This Morning.

Credentials

We are proud to have maintained a 5 star food hygiene rating since business started in 2014.

We have also been members of the Nationwide Caterers Association (NCASS) since 2014, ensuring our processes and legal duties meet the highest standards.

Food was amazing!

Fantastic food !

Goujon Monkey arrived at the time specified to prepare for our work event. The food was absolutely amazing ! With pre-arrangement they were even able to prepare food for a guest who has severe food allergies. Will definitely book again :)

Great food and service

We had Goujon Monkey as the evening supper option at our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. From the first email exchange Matt was very helpful and his team catered for all the dietary needs of the group. Guests commented that the food was delicious, and it absolutely was.
