Founded by James and Jazz, both graduates in Production & Technical Arts from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA), our team has a wealth of experience in the theatre and events industries. Our Story
We’re James and Jazz, the directors of Illumination Events Limited.
We started this business because we both love creating unforgettable experiences through light, sound and design.
We met while studying Production and Technical Arts at LAMDA (the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art). From the start, we shared the same passion - bringing creativity and technical skill together to make every event special.
After working in theatre, TV and live events, the pandemic hit and everything stopped. Instead of waiting for things to change, we decided to build something of our own - a company that could use our experience to make people smile again. That’s how Illumination Events began.
From our warehouse in Holyport, Berkshire, we started small, working long days and late nights to get every detail right. We invested in our own lighting, staging and sound equipment and more so we could give our clients top-quality results without huge hire costs.
Today, we’re proud to run a business that helps couples, brands and families bring their visions to life.
James focuses on lighting design and technical production.
Jazz handles scenic builds, logistics and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Since launching the company, we’ve achieved some amazing milestones - from transforming grand wedding venues into magical spaces, to producing large-scale corporate launches and award nights. Our signature 3D Infinity Dance floor and custom lighting installations have become client favourites, adding that extra “wow” factor to every occasion.

Excellent photo booth experience
