What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide the most accurate quote there are a few key bits of information we need. For a cash bar quote we require only the number of guests over 18 and the duration that the bar will be open for. From this information we can generate a quote for the hire fee. If you wish to operate a free bar at your event, we will require the previous information plus whether you want a limit on the number of free drinks or if you wish the bar to operate for free for the duration and you pick up the tab for the final amount after. We need the event date and location for all quotes.

For a buffet quote we will need the number of guests and the type of food you would like served. Ideally, we also need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event and a potential venue. We can then generate a quote based upon this information.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find out what options they provide for the service the customer needs. The provider may provide more than one way to accomplish what the customer wants to do and a different way may work out better. If the customer is looking to book more than one service (for example, a buffet and a bar), find out if the provider can do a package deal. Find out what sort of set up the provider has. Some mobile bars can only serve bottles and cans, other may be geared up to provide the full experience with a draught system. Whenever a customer is looking for someone to provide food or drink they should always check the food hygiene record of the company they are looking at.

A & J Buffets and Bars came from many years of experience in the food and drink sector. We have nearly two decades of experience in running bars and providing quality food. We always aspire to put our clients first, which is why every client gets a completely bespoke service with our undivided attention. The idea for A & J Buffets and Bars was put into place when we moved on from our last pub to create a business that encapsulates everything we loved: food, drink, excellent customer service and a good party!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We haven't been with Add to Event for very long but it is one of the best decisions we have ever made! We were previously registered with another website similar to Add to Event but the prices were sky high and we never received any work.
