What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We offer a standard buffet style list complete with pricing structure but these are not set in stone as we are happy to find solutions for your needs. One short conversation with Mandy is very often all that is needed to pinpoint a solution, Mandy has many years of experience dealing with potential customers and looks after 1000's of people every year. Once a solution has been found, numbers, venue, timing and budget need to be aligned so we meet your requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they can supply references, if they have lots of happy customers you usually won't go wrong. Make sure they understand the brief you are giving them and specific requirements that are important to you that they adhere to, might only be something small to the caterer, but very important to you. Usually the biggest problem is communication so make sure you write an email or letter detailing exactly what you need, how it is to be presented, the venue and the time. A little bit of extra preparation makes sure there are no misunderstandings on either side.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I bought the business approximately 12 years ago, having spent 25 years in the food industry working for blue chip companies as Factory / Operations Manager. I initially took the business over with 4 vans and a very small outside catering arm to the business and have built that up to 10 rounds and an outside catering business that looks after the catering for 1000's of people every year. Having worked in large corporations, translating this into a small business was easy and I can say my staff are as well trained (if not better) than any other business in this sector.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are very new to Add to Event and have only sent out one quote so far, but it seems easy to operate and I look forward to a successful partnership in the future!
