What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

If you could let me know the venue, approx number of guests, type of food and service you require & the date of the event. I will also need to know what facilities are at the venue so I can give you costs for additional equipment if needed. I can then give you some prices for a few options.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the providers how long they have been established and if you can see some reviews, better still if you could contact a past client. Ask them about their food hygiene rating and where they get their supplies from. Maybe also ask them about their experience of local venues as venue knowledge is good to be able to deliver a good service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started Wright Choice Catering in 2003 and the business has grown each year to the level it is at now. I don't want to get any larger as then I feel I would lose the personal touch that we strive to deliver. We look after 1 large event per day so you are safe in the knowledge we will be focused on you rather than what is happening somewhere else.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had many bookings from Add to Event which is great. There was one event that a client was a little worried about booking as she had not put on a party before but I talked them through it and reassured her it would be fine and we do this all the time. The event went really well and the ladies friends talked about it for a long time after.
