What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Caribbean DutchPot not only provides tasty food but tasty, authentic, Caribbean food. So whatever the cuisine is it is important that the cooks have that "authentic" experience so they know how it should taste. Also, how much experience does the provider have in handling the numbers that you intend at your event? How will they ensure that the guests are served swiftly with the food at the right temperature? Find out if they will have enough servers and the right equipment to serve your guests efficiently.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Currently Caribbean food is very popular in London and Birmingham. After being made redundant a few years ago I realized that one of the more popular Caribbean takeaways in this town had closed down. With a childhood in Jamaica, coupled with a love for business, I jumped at the opportunity to introduce authentic Caribbean food to places other than the large cities. It is a cuisine that hasn't had the exposure nationwide as it deserves. My mission is to make Caribbean food as popular as Chinese and Indian food. We cater for weddings and parties but also attend many festivals. People love the food!
