With shows based on themes such as the Wild West, Jousts or Fantasy as well as human Victorian-themed circus acts complete with stilt walkers, jugglers and clowns, Steamhorse provide a range of event entertainments and are certainly not a one-trick-pony!
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We need the event date, area, style of show required and space available. We can only provide a full circus for an outdoor event owing to the nature of our shows, although we can provide cameo indoor entertainment too.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For our line of business, an event organiser should not only look at price, but at value for money and impact. Make sure you look at websites to gauge the class of show. Not all horse based teams have good costumes or provide good, original show material.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Steamhorse began with two people from different show and horse based backgrounds - one from historical reenactment and one from circus and trick riding. They share a passion for providing entertaining shows for the public, changing their shows to suit the event whilst not compromising on content or value for money. We work hard to write original storylines and create fantastic costumes, making or team unique amongst others in the same line of work.
