What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Firstly we need a contact name and a first name, followed by a mobile number and the best time to call. The type of event that will be quoted for, indoor or outdoor, as well as the event date are also important. The number of guests and their age range, as well as budget range are key. Most important of all is the post code, because this gives us the info to calculate the travel cost and free parking is a major factor in quoting for the gig.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, do not make any bookings before you have at least a couple of quotes. Ask to see pictures or even videos of what is on offer. Please make clear if you are actually looking to book or are just obtaining quotes for info purposes. Do your research before embarking on hiring a supplier for your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
It all started on my son's 5th birthday when I booked an entertainer. After the event I said 'Oh my gosh I could do better than that!'. So I then became a children's entertainer which suited my character and my personality down to the ground!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
One of the bookings I had was for a School Fair/Funday. They required a variety of aspects ranging from meet & greet to a Circus Workshop & an arena act. I was able to offer all of these. The event went so well that they have used me for other events and aspects since then.
