What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the caterer about the service they are offering and how they intend to offer it. What is their style of food and what do they specialise in.

Beretta Catering is a personalised chef service that is based on firstly finding out what type of food you like, then providing a menu based around an initial free consultation. I noticed a gap in the event catering market, instead of throwing over priced menus at customers. I would use their tastes and preferences, and location to create a personalised menu that not only works for them but also works in the location provided. This would be the best way to provide a package that hits the mark.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been many through Add to Event. An Italian wedding in July last year in a barn in Ireland was great fun, with around 120 happy people as a result of a relaxed rustic style of catering. From that style to more corporate customers, that are looking for more formal affairs we've been given many challenges from a variety of of costumers - we love it.
