Based in Worcester, Crepes at Chez Jacey offers a variety of crepes - both savoury and sweet. Catering for festivals, weddings, corporate events and other celebrations, they provide delicious food for guests with all dietary requirements.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, we need to know the event date, type or reason for it, anticipated location and approximate number of guests. As we're a small catering trailer we can't operate inside buildings so we need to know if it's an outdoor event and if your guests will have good access to us outside of the building. We can provide savoury and/or sweet crepes, so it's important we know if you want just one type or both. It's also important you tell us if there is any particular topping you like so we can source it, if it is not a standard product such as specialist fruits.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider how long they attend your event for - if you're getting married you don't want your food provider closing up after just a couple of hours when some guests have still not eaten. We don't put time limits on our attendances! Ask if they cater for food intolerances - as a crepe producer we have our deluxe mix but also have mixes that are gluten free, and that are suitable for people with food intolerances such as dairy and nut. We also don't restrict how many crepes your guests have, which means they can try a variety and combination of toppings with rest periods in between!!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Due to a health issue, I had to leave my office job. However I needed something to 'do' and as I love French style crepes I decided to share my favourite food with everyone! So I bought a used trailer and stripped it down, giving it a total refurbishment with the help of my other-half. Because it's not my main income, I can offer favourable rates, further helping people to enjoy my food.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have been with Add to Event for less than a year, but in that time have been selected to attend charity events, school events, corporate events and weddings. We were chosen to attend a very lovely wedding in Banbury. We were also chosen to attend an equine charity event, and horses are close to my heart so I enjoyed this very much. We've been selected for other charity events, all of which are very rewarding. I think weddings are my favourite - cooking food to suit all ages, and helping children select special combinations is lovely. We have more weddings booked for this year through Add to Event and I can assure the bride and groom of each that we will work to absolutely ensure their wedding day is the sweetest of days! I like Add to Event and plan to stay with them while they develop their innovative site.
