What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date and times, location, how many people will attend and expect a face painted, and whether it is an indoor or outdoor event. If it is an outdoor event we will need to know whether appropriate cover will be provided. Then we can quote accordingly!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do not just consider the cheapest - especially for face painting, as customer communication and speed of painting are essential since they add value for money. Weather can effect face painting as well so discuss cover if outdoors. Check for public liability cover and professional memberships.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I am an artist and started this business after having children who wanted face painted. I discovered I was good and quick, two essential elements to good face painting. I have taught for many years so find meeting new people and communication fun and rewarding.
