What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I would need to know the date and location, the nature of the event (whether it be birthday/festival/corporate, how many kids/adults attending, any special theme, then we move on to if they have a budget and the payment method they will be using, I always inform that I need a booking fee and payment before the event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you do your research, look for people or a business that has some experience at least in the field your looking for.
You want to make sure you're getting what you asked for, check out the reviews (if they have any) this makes such a difference and look at the pictures of their work and their profile picture, it always helps me when I can see a face to put to a name.
Always be sure you're happy before booking.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my journey last January as a Glitter Artist, I knew I had found my passion and I have always been into makeup etc so decided to venture out into Facepainting. I have finally found my passion and my calling in life, a bit late, however, it's never too late to find your passion, its been an amazing journey so far and I can't wait to see where it takes me, I will be planning on extending what I have to offer very soon.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I actually only joined in Nov and so far i've had 4 jobs through the website, each one has been amazing and so enjoyable.
The first job I had was a jungle-themed birthday party, I actually painted around 40 kids and adults, I do like it when the adults also get involved.
The second job was another birthday party in which I actually had both face-painting and also glitter tattoos.
I had another two jobs after these, including a tea party where the girls were all watching me paint which was so adorable and a princess party where my butterfly design was very popular.
and to top it off I've had the best reviews from all of my customers, knowing they are happy makes it all worthwhile.
