What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To be able to provide an accurate quote, we would need an event date and start time along with details about the theme and the type of celebration it is. It would also be good to know whether the venue is a hall/house party or outside in a park or garden.
For face painting, it would be good to know whether the guests are mainly boys/girls and a theme if possible.
For cakes, we would need information around allergies, themes, colours, flavours and even photos of the types of designs the client wants - this also applies to balloons.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest asking about their background and how long they have been in the profession. It's also worth asking for images of their work and where you can find reviews, maybe even ask about their website/ social media and even arrange a call if needed.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business by accident really!! I offered to facepaint at a family friends birthday and everyone seemed to love it, then I trained with another painter for a couple of years working alongside her. I then decided to start my own business in London and have been loving it ever since!
My full-time profession isn't very arty and doesn't usually allow me to show off my love for being creative, but doing the job I am in now allows me to express myself and make customers happy at the same time!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The requests that come through Add to Event are constant! They literally flood my inbox every day which is amazing but if I had to choose one booking it would be face painting at Chiswick Proms! That was special!
We met loads of amazing people & children and provided lots of face painting for people of all ages. It was such a nice day with good vibes all around. The clients were really happy with the service and we are hoping to return as soon as the next event happens.
