What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue - whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly check the provider is a reputable business and they have adequate insurance, you also want to know about the materials and equipment they use; are they professional products suitable for the use intended and are they clean? Secondly, find out what experience they have, have you seen examples of their work and do they have any testimonials or reviews to prove their experience?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been perfecting my face painting skills since 1997, and my business was born in 2002 following the hobby that I loved. My passion for face painting and entertaining children of all ages has always driven my business to the next level and our aim has always been to provide a professional service and to do it safely using the very best materials and products.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have received many bookings via Add to Event - but if I had to pick one is was a wedding party that was in a treehouse with a fairy theme. The facepainting and glitter tattoos entertained everyone from the 3 month old baby (I painted her parents and she squealed with delight) right through to the great grandmother of the bride who had numerous tattoos and posed for her face paint and photos with glee. I received a very sad message weeks later that she had sadly passed away but those moments and photos held many treasured memories for everyone there. I have recommended this platform to all my friends and colleagues in the industry as a very affordable source for bookings and leads, Add to Event is growing with me and my business!
