What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, it is great if they provide the date, location (rough area is fine if a concrete venue is not yet decided), number of children or people and number of hours required. It can also be helpful to be made aware of any plans to host an outdoor event and if the event is themed at all.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always recommend making sure the Face Painter you are choosing is insured and experienced. Feel free to ask them what kind of paints and glitters they use, how they care for their paints and how they clean their brushes between uses. Another great question to ask is how many faces they can paint per hour, this is very useful to know.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My first job was as a children's party host in a well-known indoor soft play venue. We had an in-house face painter and she was fantastic, I saw children's faces light up with joy when they looked in the mirror and knew that I would love to be a face painter. In 2017 I decided to learn the trade and invest in my business. Now I service birthday parties and events every weekend and have expanded my business, offering bespoke children's party boxes, making birthdays and events as special and as memorable as can be.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been so many wonderful clients I have had the pleasure of working with through this platform, it is hard to spotlight just one! But, one of my most recent parties was certainly one to remember. Hosted at the Dartford Rugby Club, it was a fantastic party. The children were enthusiastic and so creative with their face painting requests it was a pleasure to paint their faces. The adults were thrilled with the face painting and very glad to have found my service on Add to Event. They also left a wonderful review which is a great feature of Add to Event as they automatically prompt this from completed bookings so that you don't have to. I do, and have used other platforms to promote my services the majority of bookings come from Add to Event and this platform is the reason why I can gladly say I am always booked and busy!
