What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Dates and locations are the first things. Getting a feel for the event is really important- so knowing if there is a particular theme or atmosphere. What ages are the guests and for how many am I painting for. Knowing these snippets of information I get a better understanding of the clients' expectations, and therefore able to adjust my designs accordingly.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I'd recommend asking a potential face painter about what are they are doing to provide a clean and healthy service of face painting. What are their favourite types of events to paint at and what inspires their designs?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Coming from a fine art background I started a business offering arts and crafts parties- people started asking about whether we provided face painting. I'd also become aware at the time of the amazing face and body art from the festival scene which provoked an interest in face offering great quality face painting.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Wow! I've had a lot of parties through Add to Event, mainly children's party, which I love- but a highlight was a corporate Christmas party. Here I painted glittery eye designs for adults, it was magical the joy it bought adults having super cool designs. There were 2 of us painting, I've no idea how many faces we painted, but there was a lot! Ranging from festival glitter eyes, glitzy flowers, to superman and finding Nemo!!!
