What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for our company to provide a comprehensive quotation, we would require details of the occasion, along with the date and time, the rolled ice cream would be required. Also, the venue details and the number of guests in attendance. Once we have the information, a timely response will be forwarded on to the customer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise the customer to check the hygiene rating of the provider, particularly with supplying a food product. Also, check the ingredients being used during the making process, ensuring branded products only are offered. Finally, take a look at the provider's social media and any reviews before making a decision.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Cold N Rolled was started as a family run business as we feel it provides a more personalised approach due to the fact that we are able to tweak to the client's specific requirements, unlike many larger franchisees who need to follow a stricter protocol.
We decided on rolled ice cream to offer an exciting new twist on traditional ice cream which is made fresh in front of the customer and which compliments both events and special celebratory occasions wonderfully.
Being mobile allows us to take our business anywhere. This has proved beneficial and many different venues have now listed us as a preferred supplier. We have also traded on numerous occasions within a major High Street store which offered an exciting opportunity for further expansion.
As well as providing a quality, luxurious product, we also offer a personalised experience which has an almost theatrical performance during the making process itself.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have received bookings for both weddings and birthday parties through Add to Event. The cost for credits is minimal in comparison to many other similar platforms and Add to Event do not take a percentage following the quotation which is refreshing.
The birthday party we attended earlier in the year was most successful. Guests were amazed by the rolled ice cream making process to their specific requirements and many made comment on the luxurious taste. The hosts were both wonderful and we received an exceptional review from the client afterwards which we were extremely happy about as it gave further reassurance that we are providing a friendly and professional service.
