What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide the right and most accurate quote first time we need the event date, location/postcode, timing and combination of light up letters required. The type of event is always useful as we can often offer suggestions or other ideas to make your event stand out.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest you get at least two or three quotes for the same service, always ask to see photos of their own work in situ. Always read customer reviews.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Letters2Love was created following our daughter's wedding, she saw Light Up LOVE letters at a family wedding and wanted the same for her wedding. My husband is very creative and a talented carpenter so he decided to make the letters as a surprise for Megan and her husband on the day … she was overwhelmed. From then on we had lots of enquiries from friends and family to hire them out and make more letters, we now have a large varied stock to choose from.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Our first booking through Add to Event was from a wonderful party/event planner called Naomi. At very short notice she wanted four letters for a corporate event which supports women/Moms in business. We were happy to help out and gained our first outstanding review.
