Vic & Hil. provide artisan barista coffee, teas, soft drinks, snacks and sweet treats from their converted Ifor Williams HB511 Horsebox. They can cover a range of events big and small from corporate events to weddings and private parties.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We have a fully adaptable horsebox and we are always willing to meet your requirements. Just drop us a message with the idea you had for your event, date, location and number of guests and we will use our experience and expertise to put together some options for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Pictures for us would be the most important factor when choosing an event caterer. They show the quality of the work. Pricing is also another important factor, anything that seems too cheap is probably too good to be true.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

There is a funny story behind our name ask us when you see us and we’ll fill you in!
We are a family of 4 with a love for coffee… well 3 of us anyway! The 4th member is more about the sweet treats!
Our Horsebox is towed with our 2014 Landrover Defender 110 XS Double Cab Pickup.
We also have a coffee shop located in Ballymena Town Centre, this is where we get our in house chef to tailor our catering packages to each event's requirements.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As we started our business in late 2019 we have been very fortunate to be part of Add to Event as we have received some fantastic catering opportunities through the site. One of most favourite events was catering for a corporate event for Ferrari
They thought they wanted Italian until they had us! Since then we have worked with a number of corporate clients throughout Northern Ireland such as Diageo, All State and CDE to name but a few.
We have also supported well-being events for staff and pupils at numerous schools throughout Northern Ireland, Belfast Royal Academy being one of those.
During the period of covid restrictions was our best time for wedding catering through Add to Event as we were able to provide the option of 'take away catering' for stressed-out brides and grooms who weren't able to have their wedding receptions.
