What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we ideally need to know the event date and location, an explanation of the type of event, number of guests and what you’d like them to be drinking.
Additionally, as most of our activity as a business is licensable we need to know if the venue already has a premises license or if we’ll need to apply for a Temporary Event Notice. For some events, the timings can be quite tight and we’ll need to apply quickly to keep things legal.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the supplier about their products. They should know it in detail and be able to work with you to provide recommendations.
For example, our qualified mixologists can work with you to create a bespoke cocktail menu that suits the needs of your event, and your guests.
Ask them about previous events they’ve worked on and if they can supply photographs and/ or reviews/ references from previous clients.

Having worked in events for years, we decided to start Gin & Fizz to create great events for great people. We absolutely love a good party and that's exactly what we bring to our customers.
We wanted to provide a great look and professional service so our boutique horse box bar was painstakingly restored and converted by skilled Buckinghamshire craftsmen creating what we believe is a beautiful bar that you’ll be proud to have at any event.
Coupled with our experienced and friendly staff, you’re onto a winner!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We’re still relative newbies to Add to Event but have already had multiple bookings from great clients, including a large County Cricket event which was great fun to work. We were asked to step in at the last minute to help with hospitality, providing Gin & Tonics, Rum, Vodka, Whiskey and Soft Drinks. We were even able to add some cocktails to the menu for good measure. Our experience of large events meant we were able to deliver beyond the client’s expectations, even at short notice. The review we had from the client was fantastic and they invited us back for more of their events which have all been equally as fun to work.
The customers at the events have been loving our products and we’ve even had enquiries from people who’ve seen us at these events for their own private parties and weddings.
We would wholeheartedly recommend and have recommended Add to Event to businesses in our industry as a great way to connect with potential clients.
