Mobile Gin Bar Hire in South Yorkshire

Based in South Yorkshire, The Gin Cart offers a mobile gin bar service, served in a vintage blue horse trailer. Travelling around the north of England, they cater for weddings, hen parties, birthday parties and corporate events.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a quote that meets the requirements of the customer we need to know: the type of event, the time the event is due to start, the length of the event, the type of hire they want, i.e. pre-paid or cash bar and the estimated number of guests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The client needs to be clear about their event and what type of service they are wanting a quote for, and be specific on their budget. This makes providing a suitable quote easier and saves the client receiving quotes for something they don't want, whilst stopping the provider sending in a wrong quote and using valuable credits.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started The Gin Cart in 2017 after I had taken voluntary redundancy from my previous job. I knew that I wanted to take the plunge and experience working for myself. I wanted to create a business that was a bit different and not something most people did. From the start, I was very clear that my focus would be on giving a excellent service to customers and providing them with the opportunity to try different gins, that were superbly made.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have just completed my first booking that we obtained through Add to Event. This was a hen party for around 20 women who wanted something different and also something that would be a total surprise for the bride to be. It was great! We did it on a Saturday night and it didn't feel like work. We had great fun and we made some brilliant drinks for the hens! The feedback we received on the night and afterwards has been excellent! We have several more bookings coming up that we've obtained through Add to Event and we are really excited about delivering some great drinks and a excellent service to them.
